Ferulic acid is an antioxidant that's rarely used alone — its main job is stabilizing vitamin C and boosting its antioxidant effect, which is why the two are almost always sold together. Used in the morning under sunscreen, it adds a real layer of protection against the free-radical damage UV exposure causes.
